A family of 40 for whom we are designing a house in Biały Bór for bought a plot next to the nearest lake and decided to build a haven with the sleeping house there.

However, it turned out that the terrain is  very miry, difficult and hard to develope. There was an idea to create an artificial plot hanging upon this difficult terrain, exactly in the borders of the proper plot.

Initially, the house was to be surrounded by greenery and a section of elevated artificial beach. However, the owners asked us to use wood decking because, due to the home’s seasonal use, they were afraid of grass being up to their waist when they would arrive after a long stint away.

The upper plot can be connected with the lower part by the movable stairs connecting with the pier. This sollution was motivated by the fact that it is a public building, that everyone can use. Thats why the upper plot is not avaliable to the public while the owners are absent.

We have designed the first floor with articulating walls so that residents can carve out private spaces for themselves depending on how many people will be sleeping there.
