Proximate neighborhoodof the Museum of Architecture and the Racławice Panorama induced careful analysis of their way of functioning, which became a starting point of the project. Museum of Architecture bases on a simple relation between presented works of art and the audience.
In Racławice Panorama the spectators are totally surrounded with exhibition.
Both buildings are yet strongly introvertic – concealing their fine contents behind the outer walls.
This restraint gave rise to an idea of the new museum exhibiting art both inside and outside the building. Formally, it’s been achieved by a symbolic action of twisting the shape of panorama. As a result the inner surface is turned to the outside, exposing art to the exterior.

The shape of the plot, approved floor area and the hight of the building enforce building in the outline of the quater.
Contractual twist of the „panorama” made the building a transformation of a classical quarter.
Freed lobby with two entrances on the oposites sides enables an easy penetration of the building and going around it.
Location of the program is a result of “twisting” the quarter, we get two main functional blocks: exhibition spaces and features associated with the museum. The idea and disposition of the program are linked tightly with contrasting materials on the facade: a full wall with media facade system, which processes the “play” on the outside of the building and a steel frame with “milk” glazing.
