The forest plot on which the house was to be built has access from the west, adjacent to a quite frequented road. In addition, the local urban law excluded full fences or hedges to allow small animal migration. At the same time, the western part of the plot was an ideal place for the garden due to sun exposure.

We gave up building the fence at all, but to provide residents a sense of intimacy in the house and in the garden, the idea of ​​unusual shutters in the ground floor level appeared. When they are open, they optically cut off the household from the road.

This solution is useful when you use the garden. We assumed that in the winter months large shutters in the ground floor will not be opened, therefore we designed smaller openings in them, which refer to the size of the shutters on the 1st floor.All shutters will be finished with the same material as the walls, keeping their thickness, so both after opening them, and especially after closing the house shape, it will give the impression of an ideal and clean monolith.
