2 years after its completion we can buy some vehicles powered only by electricity, soon also hydrogen powered ones.

They will become a standard solution in 10-15 years.

That is probably when the idea of this house will be fullfilled compeletely.

Autofamily House is a new type of a suburban house which understands the needs of its occupants better. Suburban houses are usually accessed by car. Although the garage is the first point of contact with the building, in typical houses, paradoxically, it is treated as a secondary technical room, while the representative entrance is hardly used on a daily basis.

Auto-Family House creates a new solution – a common zone for entry on foot or by car in order to improve the comfort of the inhabitants. The garage becomes a sort of entry hall for drivers and pedestrians. The car practically enters the residential area, which is possible thanks to increasingly cleaner car models. The innovative functional solution encourages its occupants to invest in ecological cars to allow them to coexist within the residential part.

The terrain is leveled in order to obtain two zones: the driveway space and the private garden.

The driveway is left on the ground level and the house with intimate garden is lifted 3 meters above and separated by a retaining wall.

In order to get to the building comfortably, that is park the car on the level of the living room, a route connecting the two levels was designed. However, to avoid dividing the garden, the driveway is covered with a green roof and finished with walls used as borderlines.

The result is a tunnel emerging in the garden, becoming a house.

The owner is an art collector so the tunnel is also used as an art gallery for his paintings.

Epilogue

This innovative type of house imposes more ecological lifestyle on its inhabitants. Introducing the car so close to the living zone it encourages changing the car for a cleaner model. After 3 years in the new house, the owners gave up their car with an internal combustion engine, buying a hybrid instead.
