Robert o projekcie

On the picturesque site located in the Pieniny Mountains near the Lake Czorsztyn, the investor wanted to built his dream hotel. There are traditional houses standing on the nearest hill, that were moved from the village that was later flooded by the water of Lake Czorsztyn. They have become the inspiration for the project.

Due to the fact that the hotel was supposed to be quite large, we have decided to not overwhelm the surrounding smaller buildings.

That’s why the non-sleeping functions were merged into the ground, and by using the slope on one side opened up to the lake, being not visible from the entry side on the same time.

Sleeping parts have been lifted to a higher level and placed in two massive, twin roofs, referring to the traditional mountain buildings. This way we gave the impression of two separate buildings, which turn out be one complex only when seen from the lake side. The structure of the building is a typical for local buildings separation of three parts: foundation, glazed first floor and massive gable roof.
